More and more hackers are targeting regular people with the goal of breaking into their bank accounts, stealing their crypto, or simply stalking them. Bitcoin traders have long relied on charts and technical indicators. But according to LunarCrush CEO Joe Vezzani, social sentiment is now just as important as RSI or MACD — maybe even more. “Social now is just—it has to be a piece of the puzzle for you when making a good decision,” Vezzani said during TheStreet Roundtable discussion with Rob Nelson and Kelly Kellam, CEO of BitLab Academy. Vezzani noted that LunarCrush offers traders a social-first lens into crypto markets. “We’d like to say that social is one of the inputs,” he explained. “Whether you’re a hedge fund ingesting our API…

The U.S. Treasury yield curve, one of the most reliable signals of recession, is flashing red again. As of March 2025, the spread between the 10-year and 2-year Treasury yields remains inverted, a condition similar to that preceding every U.S. recession of the last five decades. Historically, an inverted yield curve makes the cost of borrowing in short terms more expensive than in longer ones—an unusual condition in well-functioning economies. It is often taken as a sign that monetary policy is too tight and an economic slowdown is on the way. The 10y-1y yield curve is also inverted, reinforcing recession…

It’s time for a showdown between two of the most important cryptocurrencies in 2025. In one corner, XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) backed by Ripple, aims to revolutionize the traditional financial system with its blockchain-based payment alternative. On the other side of the ring, Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) is fueling the Web3 revolution with its lightning-fast network, home to a growing number of decentralized apps (dApps), smart contracts, and even meme coins. XRP has outperformed recently, up 14% year to date as I write this, in sharp contrast to the volatility facing Solana, down about 33%. Yet, going back two years, a $1,000…
