The second flight of Blue Origin’s massive New Glenn rocket won’t happen until at least mid-August, CEO Dave Limp announced Monday in a post on X. That represents a slight delay — Jeff Bezos’ space company had said in March it was targeting “late spring” for the rocket’s second launch. New Glenn’s first launch took place January 16. While the rocket’s upper stage reached orbit on its first attempt, the booster stage exploded while attempting to land on a drone ship in the ocean. Blue Origin said in March it discovered “seven corrective actions” as part of the investigation mandated…

WASHINGTON (AP) — I’m cruising around Bowser’s Castle with my old pal Toad. It’s not exactly relaxing, what with all the lava pits and banana peels and turtle shells littering the road. Add 23 other characters — is that a cow driving? — who are trying to get to the finish line first, and it’s chaos. The hectic, high-speed insanity of any race in the new Mario Kart World would have caused the eight-year-old Switch console to wheeze a bit. And that’s why we’ve got the Switch 2 ($449.99), the souped-up sequel to Nintendo’s popular home-and-portable hybrid. It looks prettier, too. The…
Impact investor and advisor Christian Tooley posed a simple question to the audience at SXSW London last week: What if investors put aside societal prudence for profit? Tooley was mainly referring to vice clauses, the restrictions that limited partners place on venture firms to guardrail their investments. Some of these no-no sectors often include products dealing with sex, substances like psychedelics, gambling, and tobacco, and such limitations are usually imposed by large institutional investors, who don’t want to invest in products that are at best controversial and at worst potentially harmful. Tooley feels investors are missing out on innovation by…
